Ive been through several different brands of shocks and struts for various vehicles Ive owned, and Ive really come to appreciate the overall quality of Bilstein shocks, and for the past few installs thats what I use... period. My wifes 2004 Pathfinder has always felt a little soft for my taste, and now that its got nearly 60k, I figured it was about time to give it some new struts and shocks. Does Bilstein not make struts for this year Pathy?I have searched high and low and to my dismay, I cant find anyone that stocks Bilsteins for this Pathfinder. Anyone know something about this, or of a place that stocks them?Much appreciation, and great forum ....

I am sorry to no know, but Shox.com has been real helpful for me.I have had great success with the KYB gas and they do adapt to high shock and this did help the soft feeling. I know technically shocks don't make spring load, but they sure help them. Never heard anything negative on them.

Well,,, I might have to settle for the KYB's since I cant find anyone that sales Bilstein struts and shocks for the 04 Pathy for whatever reason.I guess Bilstein must have excluded that year pathfinder for some strange reason.Didnt want to have to go the KYB route, but looks like I have to settle.

I recently put Old Man Emu shocks and struts on my '01, and they are much better than the stock ones. (especially since I needed new ones in the rear :-)

They might be more expensive, and you'll probably have to order them, but I recommend them.

Also, I think the '04's would take the same as the 99.5 and up..

Wow,, just googled the old man emus, and was shocked (no pun intended), that there is such a brand. Thanks man, at first I thought you were just messing with me, cause I never new the Ausies made anything except beer...lol. I thought I knew all the shock manufactures, but I guess you learn something new every once in awhile. Were they pretty pricey?

Ya, ARB is Australian, they have all the good 4x4 stuff.

Also, don't forget that the Aussies were the first ones to split the beer atom.
