I finally got the surround back from the paint shop.

Now I know that some of you are into mods that are only functional, and thats fine...there are lots of threads for you. There are some of us that like the cosmetic stuff too.

Looks like an LS grill now. Could we see some pics that are 10ft away so we can see the full front of the car. Nice work though. Who cares if the "old bags" doesn't like mods.

The top row on the right side (left as viewed here) looks off, but its not in person. Weird.

Looks good!!! Yep, slap those rims on there and look like a "gansta from da inna city" lol!

Your headlights still look good too. I think that I have to pay someone to clean my headlights again. That yellow tint is coming back...

I've got the back end apart doing cross drilled and slotted rotors, braided lines and touching up chassis paint.

If my KYBs make it in from Van, I've got my Esplirs waiting.

Then its off to the muffler shop to have the underplumbing redone and boot the rear suitcase out of the system.

Billet grills seem to be a better match to pick-up trucks and ghettoed out SUV`s. Certainly gives the Q a generic, jcwhitney type look.

It does. Not an improvement in my book, but I always have something to do as maintenance never ends.

I do believe Nissan go the styling right for both the FGY33 and G50 compared to the JDM alternative versions.

Sorry but to me it just looks like: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:2002G20(7).JPG I mean I know the grill is differnt but I just can't help but thinking of it as a G20 with a V8.

I'm definitely not in the "only functional mods" camp (look at my grille and tail lights...), but billet grilles have never been my thing. And at this point, they've sort of become the "altezza" tail lights of grilles: EVERYONE does them to EVERYTHING and not only do they not stand out, but they've gotten to the point where they look cheap.

Of course, I painted my grille black, which I know most people don't like, and I love it, so if you like your billet grille that's all that matters. What REALLY matters with cosmetic mods like this is whether they make you smile when you look at your car.

There is typically not a factory grille I like on any car.....and the one on this car was beat to crap. And there are so few options, and the price was right. Guess I'm old school when it comes to billet grilles. The stuff thats played out is the Strut swiss cheese style.

Billet grills are usually a tough sell; either you love em or hate em.And they usually look off, if the grill is not perfectly square.

I'm surprised at how good they came off.

Nice mod.
