no, people don't hate honda bike the way they honda carS. if you know very little about motorcycles, you should A: take a safety course, B: ride a couple different kinds to find what fits your body, and C: don't worry so much about what people think, its all about fun. I have a Yamaha FJ1200. it is not brand new, it is not pretty, but when i'm riding, i don't care.

Chrome on a sportbike would be rice IMO. Any of the major companies...Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha... will build a bike that will take you to speeds you only dream about, and will kill you just the same. Honda makes good bikes, as TomsMR2 said. I've clocked just over 11K on my '98CBR600, and have had ZERO mechanical failures. Suzuki builds the quickest, fastest, and sharpest handling streetbikes, the GSX-R lineup.

A bike is not a toy.

chrome on a sports bike isnt rice. I see alot of people have chrome accesories all the time aint nothing wrong with that, Just gotta be tasteful about it. I have seen APC styl euro lights on bikes before man that **** is rice.

I've had a GSX600 and GSXR600 and loved both of them. Great bikes all around. Granted the Kan-tuna was slow but was a great bike to learn on then I got the GSX-R and the difference was night and day. That thing was fast as stink.

Like the other poster said, take a safety course. And like Sr said, they are not toys.

Honda makes fine vehicle all the way around. I use to dislike their bikes because that is what all the little rich pricks rode. But hey, the rich pricks finally got smart and started buying Suzuki's, the real deal.

And The guys that cruise around on cromed out bikes aren't rice, they're squids. :D

What does squid stand for again? I know what it means though.I saw a video of a guy with chrome 'spinners' on his gixer-the kind gheto super stars put on their escalades. That would sorta qualify as rice.I don't really think there is too much of a culture of ricyness surrounding sport bikes though. There isn't a whole lot you can do to make them faster, and its not like you can cut the springs and put a body kit on one...

Honda, Suzuki and Yamaha all made quality bikes. A good beginner bike out of the three would be a mid-early 90's honda cbr 600. Reliable, easy to learn on, and still fast, etc.

there are 3 types of people that ride bikes, and hence have a category, IMO every person in each category either doesnt care, or hates the other type

i list them most favorite/least favorite for my own tastes

1. speed bikers - nuff said 2. harley + custom built bike guys ( hard core leather jackets, and in the words of George Carlin " mean mother ****ers, who like to ride around town and have fun............................ robbing stores, raping teenagers and shooting police men")

3. "cruisers" , those bikes that fit more garbage than a grabge truck, they ride around on the highways for days and days having "fun". I dont want to go into a big rant, but to sum it all up, i simply dont get these people. When i see them the same thing goes through my mind as when i see a civic with a firebird hood on it.
