Has anyone ever made bike mounts where you can attach one or two bikes inside the trunk area with the seats folded?

I have a hitch on the truck but if I can make one rather than paying $$$ for one from Thule or Yakima that would be great.

I know I can lay 2 down in the back, anymore and I'm not real comfortable since the bike move around when driving.

Any ideas are appreciated!

I haven't made anything like that, but are you thinking about something like this? Do a Google search for "inside bike rack suv" and you'll find a number of vendors. It probably wouldn't be too hard to make something like that out of wood. I'm thinking a sheet of wood, 2 small blocks attached to it, a horizontal hole drilled in the blocks, and a bolt with a wingnut through the hole. You can probably find a bolt that's the same size as the threads on the bike. Then you just put the fork onto the bolt and torque it down.
