?Hi all, I'm thinking of buying the G35 coupe, and worried about the small trunk. The pass-through slot is tiny. Has anyone managed to fit a bike in the trunk? It's a road bike... TIA.

If no one posts about this, you could always take measurements and and compair it to the measurements with the trunk

Oh and welcome to nico.

It can be done. But, it is a huge pain to do. A couple of years ago I picked up my C'dale R600 from the LBS and loaded it into the coupe. Of course the front wheel had to come off, but so did the seat post. I also had to do some screwey things with the bars to get it to fit. I had to load it in behind the passenger seat with the rear wheel in first. Be mindful of the crank and pedals or you'll gouge the leather.

Needless to say, I have never done it again.

You can always get a trunk mounted bike rack. I use the Jeep to haul it around now.

Ok, thanks for the information. The bike rack thing seems a bit dorky, but probably works best. Anyway, I'll be sure to post a pic if I do go with the G35!

I agree. Plus a bike rack is a pia to put on and take off all the time.

yes I've had to resort to using my G35 Coupe for transporting my road bike on several occasions. For starters I positioned a tarp into the trunk with enough tarp to A: feed into the pass through opening, and B: lay over the trunk entry...ya know it would be so darn ez to scratch something. From there, it was position tarp through pass through & over and out of trunk opening, remove front wheel from bike, remove one pedal on the gear-chain-cassette side, and then ever so carefully wrestle bike into position with rear wheel sticking through pass through (crank with missing pedal on the up side). As someone said, major PIA, but it can be done.

I've tried removing both wheels (no pedals) and the bike sans wheels just will not fit. Well my road bike w/aerobars will not fit.

In truth I prefer my normal solution, use my old Acura TL to transport the road bike.

good luck.

yes....even a large mountain bike can fit inside this trunk (its main selling point for me over the Z)....but as mentioned before it is kind of a pain...i wish bike racks weren't so lame....
