biggest speaker size in door?

HEY GUYS..what is the largest speaker anyone has put in a s13 coupe door pannel without cutting any metal or making fiberglas parts....i just got 4x6 infiniti's and im just not happy with them....im thinkin i might be able to fit a 6x8...

P.S...my amps are already taken out so backspace isnt a problem

get some 6 1/2 components with face mounts or mount the tweeters right next to the mid range... easy fit, and will sound good. depends on your budget though but in my experience round speakers are always the best... that's why you dont find 6x9 or oval shaped speakers in really high end stuff.

never heard of anything bigger than 6.5 components. that's what I have. FYI, i think the reason people go the component route is because you wouldnt be able to fit the tweeter under the factory grille. also its aimed at your feet. ;D
