that's the exact clip I have! awesome car man.

Quick question, why does it sputter at the low rpm on the rolling road? One of my buddy's suggested that it was wastegate flutter or something like that? What kind of numbers it it putting out?

Anyways, I think I got it off SXOC a LONG time ago. Its been on my computer forever, and your screenname just rang a bell!

what's the boc in the upper left corner of the engine bay with all the hoses connected to it? looks like you got the valve cover breather thingy plumbed in it.

Check these pics out, from the look of it, they seem that they have some serious power but I have no idea what is the exact power on themDon't mind such a set up in my car.

You've got my vote. I don't think anyone in the US is anywhere near there. If they are, they aren't on this forum, and we're prob. the biggest CA forum in the US.

For now, I would safely say that this statement is true. Most people here are just trying to get and/or enjoy the CA18DET for what it's worth, let alone trying to extract mad power out of it. Now me on the other hand, tune for high performance (meaning 300+whp) accompanied by daily reliability.

I do have a CA18DET engine that is built with some of the best stuff that money can buy, but it's still a true (unbored) 1809cc block. Not too many people that's making good power with the CA can honestly say that their engines are still carrying the stock bore. I would safely assume that some are CA19, CA20DET hybrids that have wads of cash thrown at them in the name of R&D and Hi- po parts. I use the stock and mildly modified motors that I have for experimentation purposes as the built motor will front as a dyno queen for a minute or two.

So one of these days, there'll soon be a CA in the U.S. that can hopefully compare, but until then, the UK and Japan as well others are the big dogs in CA land. And all is very quiet on the western front .
