Bigger valves ?

Just wondering what it is that bigger valves do for a turbo motor (ka24de) 1mm over sized ?

what the power gain if any at all ,rev limit u know stuff like that.

size i was looking at Intake valves: 37.6X7X101.32Exhaust valves: 32.3X7X98.85

Good with motors bottom half but the top half is what im wonder about (valvetrain)

any info will help thanxz

Many ppl think that turbocharging is all about how much manifold pressure you can make. Actually, it's really how much can you flow through the engine. Larger valves make for more air in, faster exhaust, thus resulting in more power. Make sure your turbocharger can keep the CFM's up enough to match the flow change.

If your going to do use larger valves, then you'll want the head ported/polished, larger cams and the rest of the valvetrain should be improved as well.

Like already mentioned, make sure your turbo, manifold and exhaust are designed to deal with extra flow also.

yes the valves are but one part of the induction chain. to get the most gains from one part requires other parts of the chain be improved as well.

thanxz guyz i was thinking of getting T3/60-1 flows 61 lbs/min 781cfmor the T3/GT40 flow: 65 lbs/min 832cfm with the BD manifold and downpipe i was going to amp up the springs and webb cams specs 266 duration and 10.16mm lift or jim wolf something along that line still matching up parts for my car. and hp gold thanxz
