Hi, I did some searching on the forum (I'm a newbie here) but could not find an answer.

What would be the biggest tire size that could work with OME lift with no wheel spacers and minimum trimming? There have been some posts on the AC lift and tires, but I'm running on OME. Right now with 255/70 R16 (about 30") the rear tires already will occasionally rub the inner fender (on BIG dips), maybe I need new wheels with more backspacing? I'm using stock R16 wheels now, no idea what backspacing is on these. Fitting 33" on AC lift does require spacers to fit front tires under struts and heavy trimming (according to this post post5614709.html by ruggedpathy), so that would definitely be above the upper limit.

Thanks for your help.

wish i could help ya...

all i know is, i have 265-75-16 (aka 31.6") on OME springs but i dont have stock wheels. these are 16x8's with a 4 in backspace (stock is 16x7 with 4 or 4.5 in backspace)

minor trimming was required... removal of mud flaps was required....

The OME's are great but if i could do it again, id have gotten the stiffer and taller springs from 4x4parts..... fit bigger tires!

I have the 2" lift and I am running 265/70/17, with 1.25" spacers on the lift from 4x4 parts. I had to remove my mudflaps and have to do some trimming b/c I rub big time going in reverse in full lock. ( dont know where though) I want to go bigger though next time, maybe a 275/70/17 or something.

Hmm, I have been playing for a while with the idea of trying to fit these Baja ATZs (265/75R16):

Diameter: 31.8
Section width: 10.5
Thread width: 8.1

Seems like it might just work... maybe...

Hey fueler, do you have any problems with fender rubbing with heavier loads? I wish I could have stiffer springs too just because of that, maybe airlifting will solve that issue ;)
My mud flaps and running boards are also long gone, BTW.
