bigger than 14" rad fan

I already searched and found nothing helpful on this topic so hopefully someone will answer. Just checking out electric fans on some websites. I know a 14 inch fan will work but has anyone used bigger? I dont wanna go out and buy a 18 inch off the internet and then it doesnt fit. I measured the width of the stock sr20 radiator and it cam out to be wider than 20 inches. So if anyone has tried using a bigger rad than 14 inch please let me know.

it's not the width you need to worry about, it's the height. I think 14" will just barely fit on a stock KA/SR radiator. I can just barely fit a 15" on my Koyo. FAL Black Magic FLX-150

Nils had 2 14" permacool fans (i think they were permacool) on his koyo radiator, they just barely fit.

I use a Pontiac Fierro Fan. It works VERY well. Like a hurrican when it's on...

if you do want to go with aftermarket electric fans, pay atention to the CFM rating (how much air it moves) I'll take a single 12"1800cfm fan over dual 600 14" fans anytime.

The 14" Permacool High Performance fans are 2950 cfm each - higher than any other single fan I have seen. 2 of them does one hell of a job for those who need maximum cooling like Nils, who track races in Las Vegas IIRC.

I have one 14" with a KOYO rad, and it allows me to run AC in traffic at 90+ degrees outside air. Here in NY one 14" is more than enough.
