Im a bit confused about people putting bigger tires on the rear than the front. is it just for looks? i can understand about auto crossing with more grip to the rear around turns but why not put the same size tires on rear and front? nothing against the people who have this done to their cars, i do like the way it looks but im just a bit confused lol! thanks!

as far as i understand it, most cars who have diff size wheels/tires are rear wheel drive cars. most of them have the larger tires on the back for more traction, a front wheel drive car really has no business having diff size tires. but sometimes people (like me) buy 2nd hand wheels which are staggered, so it makes more sense to put the larger tires on the front for the better traction, however bigger tires of the rear likely look nicer, so you probably see people with either setup depending if they want function or look.

Yea, I'm in the same boat. I bought second hand 350z wheels which are staggered and I have wider ones on the rears. It doesn't do anything, but look good. lol
