Bigger Radiator?

I just noticed that the stock radiator is only less than an inch thick! Most, if not all, of my off-roading is done in sand and will usually overheat when I do. Thankfully I only off-road about a half dozen times a year. The 2 radiators I'm looking at are from C&R and Mishimoto. I'm particularly curious about the transmission cooler since my Pathy is an automatic and Mishimoto does have one that goes with their radiators. Has anyone ever put in a bigger radiator in their r50? Any info would be helpful since this is something that I would love to upgrade. Mahalo!

i dont think a bigger radiator will do much, an external ATF cooler however, is a different story, the cooler your ATF is, the longer your transmission will last, and transmission repairs are pretty costly :P i have an external ATF cooler by B&M, comes with brackets, hoses, bolts everything, for only 60 bucks, its a hell of an investment.

A dual core would help the cooling.. I didnt know Mishi had one for the pathfinder....

you might have to use 2 electric fans and delete the OE fan.. you can hook a relay up. But dont buy those cheap mishi slim fans. they are the same as cheap ebay fans with a 50.00 mishimoto sticker.

Xenocron.com has Maradyne fans that push up to 1500 cfm. 2 of those bad boys and your over heating blues are over!

Or you could throw two of these bad boys on your radiator. They're 3,300CFMs each.
