a friend of mine told me that if i wanted to turbo my KA i should get a bigger headgasket. i have a blown one right now and i am currently working on it, and my plan is to just turbo my KA24e, rather then swap engines. When i replance the blown one, should i just put a bigger one on it so i dont have to do it later on? thanks.

you should get a stronger one, instead of bigger one.

--read the book maximum boost, it explaines well all aspects of turbocharging, and it does include a part about headgasket.

What your friend is trying to say is to lower the compression, and frankly fitting a thicker head gasket is the half assed way of going about it.If you are turboing a SOHC, there is no need to lower the compression if it is one of the 8.6:1 comp motors.
