I am thinking of throwing in Unorthodox Racing pulleys but am a little worried about power generation with the stock alternator. To those of you who have done this mod, is this a problem? I am running a decent sized stereo system which can suck a bit o' juice. What are my options? Thanks for any info / advice.-Skater Joe

the pully's should actually take less to turn so you are infact saving power the power loss... not loosing more... if that's what you meant!?!?

black240,i think he's referring to the fact that the alt won't be creating as much power afterwards do to the whole "underdriving" thing. Yeah less rotational mass will free up power from the crank, but will be turning the accesories fewer revolutions as well, because the crank pulley will be smaller.

probably won't be a problem. put in the UDP then just test with a volt meter to see if you have problems with your stereo equipment

Yeah, that is what i meant, the pulleys will be smaller and therefore underdriving..... I'll throw em in and see what happens i guess. Thanks.
