yep i jus tried the link and it doesn't work, i treid post it on the forum either i don'tknow what im doing or maybe the the thing jus don't work.

nevertheless the problem is this: a freindof mine was driving the car(94 Q45t) the other day the tire tread came loose jus the like those recall tires, anyway their is a wire harness located untop the driver side tirewell when the tire pilled it broke the wire harness, and preety much dismantle the all the wires. As of now the car won't start and has being setting in the drive way. The problem im have is getting a mechanic to come to my house and diagnose the problem. I called a few shops they said they would toe it for free if i plan on fixing it with them. That is why i was hoping maybe some of you could tell me what im dealling with. Like i said im having trouble post it on this forum, if possible give me your email and i'll emailit to you.

Their are 18 connectors [50 circuits and sensors] fed from this cable, someone will have to splice and extend the wires or replace the entire wiring harness from a junk car [because a new one will cost a thousand].........shouldn't take more than a day or two depending on how many wires are cut.I would opt for a total replacement because who wants intermitents from splices later.

What happens when you run boy tires to do mans work and don't check them weekly or run them down to the cords. I assume these tires were more than 2 years old and didn't meet oem minimum requirements 95V rated or were underinflated below minimums? Never seen oem Michelins explode, other brands yes.

Never seen this on a Q but J30 are more common........a real pain in the arse job.

Tow it free gosh they need business, but then again for a few thousand dollars worth of work.

The last J30 [similar problem] we did cost $1800 to repair plus body work and paint.

For the lazy people:

HOLY mother of pearl, that SUCKS!

I really hope you can find a replacement harness from a junk Q... IMHO having to do something like that is HARDLY worth the effort on the Q, if your engien and stuff is in good shape I would really consider parting it out.....Unless you have some really rare once only stuff done to the car you can easily pick up a nice Q for hte money youd get from the engine and such..... :)

Hopefully like you said in your email that the tire failed and they will pay for the damages.....

Otherwise if I were in your situation I could hardly see justifying fixing this...

Have you checked with your insurance company? Maybe it would qualify under your comprehensive coverage as a road hazzard?

Otherwise I'm sure you can find a junk yard take-out assuming they didn't chop up the harness removing other components (which is fairly common). Check http://www.car-part.com or http://www.autogator.com
