I own a 1990 240sx with a heavily modified SR20DET redtop engine. recently i realised it started leaking oil big time. So i jacked the car up to see what the problem was and noticed it was leaking out of the rubber boot linking the clutch slave cylinder to the transmission. I believe its the main engine seal between the clutch and crank, but im not sure of myself either. Can you help me with finding out the problem?

The only way to be really certain is to get the trans out of the way and pull the flywheel off and check. But one sign can be clutch slipage (which if you have enough oil to seep out the clutch fork hole, you should have slippage).

Also, what colour is the fluid. It could be that your trans is leaking (unlikely). Was the fluid thick or thin?
