well i just wanted to post a big thank you to the asian guy in a black 03 maxima and the caucasion guy in a light blue sport explorer for helping me push my lowered 240 out of a snow enbankment. kinda scary reversing into the highway but if it wasnt for them, i would be SOL. so yes, many thanks. and for all the other people reading this, dont take out the 240 when 22 inches of snow falls that nite and if your 240 sits .75 inches off of the ground. never go to north carolina. lol.

yup. thats the truth. Why do i have to live in such a crappy area then. huh? people around DC are so into themselves that i sat in the left lane of an intersection with bumper hanging off, and had people driving around into oncoming traffic to go around me. sheesh. one guy screamed and gave me the finger for "getting in his way".

Very glad you survived. 240's do suck in the snow, nodoubt, but it does give drifters the opporunity to experiment their vice with killing their tires.

TheDC folks in general arent that bad. Now, If your car was stuck on the Cross Bronx Expressway (NYC), it wouldn't have mattered because your car would have been stripped within 10 minutes. If you got stuck in Boston, you probably would have been rammed then gotten the finger for being in the way. If you got stuck in South Philly wearing a Cowboy Jacket, the plow would have covered you with snow.

City folk in general aren't that awful, they just get more time crazy as you go north.

well the story behind it all is that i went up to charlotte for a conference and i was about 40 miles out when i just happen to be in the area where it was forecasted for 12 inches. saw about 20 to 25 cars fly off the road and it got to the point where i couldnt see the actual road anymore. it was just ice and snow. so i got fed up when the fastest i could go was 8 mph and i pulled off to the rest area. got stuck on the off ramp and luckily some firefighters with a 4x4 pulled the car out. then they put me in a parking spot and the car was officially stuck. then we noticed that there were about 20 empty cars so we called the fhp and they forwarded us to the red cross. so the red cross came out and took us to a shelter and we were there for the nite. came back out at nine and we pushed the car out and got back on the highway. came to find out that altho it was forecasted for 12 inches, we ended up getting 22 inches. and charlotte only gets about 5 inches a year. so then i was on the highway and about three exits out, i flew off of the road into an enbankment. wasnt that serious since i was going about 20 mph but with the car lowered, i couldnt go forward, only backwards. so thats when the good samaritans helped me and i finally reached charlotte. took me 24hrs to get to charlotte from gainesville,fl. and strange enuff, the 215/45/17 held up well. go continental contisports!!!!!!

I try to help others when I can. But most of the time it would endanger others for me to do so. Like when you're in the high speed lane and you see grandma with a flat in the right shoulder lane. But I have helped plenty of people in my time. I just hope that others have the same courtesy.

That was really nice of those to help you out of the snow. What were you thinking man! I don't think any 240 could manage that amout of snow. lol.

The other day we [SeVa-S13, my friend Wei, myself, and my little brother] were trying to push my vert into the garage up our driveway (which is at a modest slant) with the ground being wet. Had my brother in the car manning the steering wheel and brake (yes, brave of me, but he did very well for a 12 year old suprisingly). Well, the 3 of us couldn't get enough traction to push it up ourselves. These 2 black guys were riding past on bikes and hopped off and offered to help without being asked or anything. Though we may have been able to do it without em, it would have been a ton harder. Hats off to them!My faith in humanity goes up +1 :icesangel
