OK....FINALLY have a hotel solidified. Several of the hotels were either too small to accomadate us, totally booked, or had no discount for our dates. I found a great hotel, good rates and they can accomadate our group. Its located just a bit outside of downtown Lexington. From what Chris tells me this is a brand new hotel and in a great area. The location works really well for everyone coming in(it's really easy to find) and for moving a large group of cars in and out.

The hotel is the:Hilton Garden Inn Lexington1973 Plaudit Place, Lexington, KY 40509Tel: 1-859-543-8300 Fax: 1-859-543-9872

Directions: From I-75 North/South: Take Exit 108 "Man-O-War" (West) and travel .3 miles. Turn left at first light, Pleasant Ridge, and left on Plaudit Place. Located next to Arby's restaurant.

From I-64 East/West: Merge to I-75 South, take Exit 108 "Man-O-War" (West) and travel 3 miles. Turn left at first light, Pleasant Ridge, and left on Plaudit Place. Located next to Arby's restaurant.

From Bluegrass Field Airport: Turn right onto "Man-O-War" Boulevard and travel 15 miles, turn right onto Pleasant Ridge, and then an immediate left on Plaudit Place.

If you're curious about the hotel or what is close by....Click here for a link to the hotel.

Reservation/Pricing Info

The room rate for a 2 bed room is $69 / night. If 2 or more people stay in a room this rate is very inexpensive for the hotel we are staying at. I have a block of between 40 - 60 rooms reserved. I can drop or raise this # at any time PRIOR TO THE CUT OFF DATE* depending on our needs. If we have a significant increase in the # of rooms we will be using then the rate will obviously be slighty lower. I also have a block of 10 rooms reserved for anyone staying for the entire weekend. If I need more than that please let me know ASAP.

Rooms can be reserved beginning tomorrow, Tuesday, Jan. 13th. To reserve a room, just call the hotel with the phone # I provided above and reserve your room under the "NICO Club Group" to get the discount I have negotiated. I believe all of our rooms will be grouped closely together. :ylsuper

*CUT OFF DATE*The cut off for reserving rooms at this hotel is Feb. 27th, 2004. I know this isn't much time, but considering the size of our group this isn't that bad. At that point I must release all the remaining rooms for anyone else that may want them. As a warning, almost every hotel in this area is already booked 100% solid and you won't get the discount at another hotel. There must be a large event in Lexington on the same weekend. So please, please don't hesitate. Go ahead and book now.

If you have any questions that I haven't answered here feel free to contact me. I check the forums often but here is other contact info if needed.

I do suppose I'll be reserving a room. If a couple more people want to go in on the room let me know.

Everyone go ahead and book your rooms. The time frame is small. I have rooms reserved for just Sat night or the weekend. You decide what you need. I know some far out-of-towners are staying the weekend. Anyone with less than 4 people or just yourself.....EMAIL ME and i will try to get 4 in a room if you are interested. That way you will save quite a bit of money. $18 a person isn't bad for 4 in a room. Especially at the Hilton. Otherwise please go ahead and book a room.

It would be nice if we could get a large turn out for this. The Hilton Garden Inn only has 100 rooms and we'll take up the majority of the hotel, which is awesome. If we could get the whole thing, that would be even better, but that's wishful thinking.

OH! I did arrange for use of any meeting facility at the hotel for no charge. Along with audio/video equipment if we need it. So if anyone makes videos of the meet and wants to check them out with everyone that night, the room is there. I'm sure you guys will come up with some kind of mischief.

You're more than welcome to crash in one of ours...after seeing all these ugly mugs I think we have the best shot of having some ladies in our room. Just promise not to scare em off! ;)

No way - If anything, I should have the best luck getting us hooked up.

Remember, this old dawg's got rap.

(If all else fails, I'll get some sympathy action. :))
