The BIG Spring meet will be March 20th 2004!

This year the BIG Spring meet will be in Lexington KY.We will go to the Horse Power House at 8000 Floyd Dr. Lexington KY 40505 for a Car Show/Meet. The HPH has a great Dyno and will offer us a group rate of $45-$50 per car. This will be limited only due to time. It takes about 1/2 hour set up time per car. There may be prizes for most WHP and "Best of Show" (I'm still working on that).

Then we will caravan to Clay City KY to Mountain Park dragway at 718 11th st Clay City KY. 40312. They will have a Test and Tune night. We may all pitch in $10.00 each and have a payout for low timeslip and most consistant time (still working on the details on this as well).

As of right now we are planning on all getting a Hotel room in Lexington KY for those out of towners. Hotel Information

For those interested in meeting in Louisville for the caravan to Lexington KY I will post some more details on that soon.

OK so everyone make plans now to get off work and so on! This must be the Best Meet Ever!!!

Great news Dane...... So this is all a one day event, meaning we have a meet at the dyno place, and then head off to the tracK??

Whatever the case is it sounds great and I hope I will be able to attend!!!

One Long Fun Filled Day!;)

HPH will be open Sunday also if we need them to be.J.R. has been very nice and is willing to work with us 100%.

I do need to get an Idea of how many people want to Dyno their car so that I can let them know what to expect.I told them and the Track that we expect 100+ cars.

;)

Stay as long as you can. There will be many people stay over night in Lexington KY. Hotel info soon!

There might be some things going on in Louisville Friday night if there is a demand.Things can be made to happen in Louisville any time there is a demand.;)

Sticky of other local NICO meets.

Wes,This will probably be roughly a three to four hour car trip from Anderson.

Out of towners flying in-If Indy is a better hub to fly into let Repoman or myself know. You can always caravan down with the Indy crew. It may save you money flying into Indy instead of LOUKY (tip from the business travel our unit does).

Id say Id be able to stay until 8ish, depending on how long the other indy guys stay..... Maybe my parents would come down to this one and we'd make it a weekend deal.....

Brian (WD) -

I found airfare for $226 (taxes included).

PHX to Louisville 3/19, Louisville to PHX (via STL) 3/21. Can you swing the time off?

I'm not actually signing into to work until next week Greg, So I'll tell them I'm taking those days off then. I'll know pretty much right away. They have to have a decent reason to deny leave nowadays. I don't think it will be a problem. I'll shoot you a personal email, for the details and whatnot.

Well I hate to bring the unfortunate news. I'm copying one of my posts from the orginal thread to this one. I'll see what else I can find. This may just exclude this hotel. I'll post back soon.

(copied from BIG spring meet)Ok....Chris really meant the Radisson and not the Marriott. I looked it up. I can get the Radisson at 50% off rack bottom rates which are $99/night. So $50 isn't bad at all. They exclude the dates of March 19-22 so we couldn't get the discount then. I guess something is going on in Lexington then....spring break maybe. So that April 10th date would be perfect. So get some finalized dates together and hopefully we may have an idea of how many people and I can call and set up the discount and then each person/group can call and reserve their room under what I have set up.

Bummer! I forgot about that. The March 20th date is the only one that we can do for a while. We will try and do it again in June as well if this works out good.

See what you can find out about the 20th through them or other Hotels.;)

Sounds like this is going to be a great meet! Count me in... I’ll be there :DMy sister lives in the apartments down at UK, so it will be cool to see her as well as hang out with everyone from NICO that I haven’t seen in forever :) Not to mention there are some good places to drink/hang after all the racing and dyno fun. I know we always talk about doing something like that after the meets and I always manage miss it somehow or fall asleep :(

I'll be there for sure, since Clay City is only about 45 mins. from my house. I'll be there to watch everybody throw down on the dyno too. If any leg work is needed for this, let me know since I live fairly close to Clay City. Just don't let me forget to get a battery tie-down so I can run my car.

This is SO gonna rock!

My wife can run us to the airport. We'll fly into Louisville, so we expect a large welcoming committee.

p.s. I want someone to stand in the terminal with a big-arse sign that says, HITMAN. :)

I'll be there in the Maxima, the 240 wont be ready in time. Hopefully I can bring some people down with me. Maybe I can bring Bill to visit in his 76' 280Z with a new engine out of a 82' turbo Z. Nick

Dane - Can you get hold of some of those sticky name-tag things?

It'd be nice to have everyone wear one (at least for the first few hours) so we can put names with faces...
