Whats the difference?How do i know if my turbo is big shaft or standard? Any measurements or markings?Whats better, why?

only time i have been seeing this is referred to the turbonetics t66. big shaft beleive means it comes in a t4 turbine, and normal shaft t3. i didnt look into it too much tho

on the precision turbos they have big shaft and small shaft turbos as well. I believe you start seeing big shaft turbos when you get in to the pt67 - pt7x range. Its really nothing to worry about unless you are trying to find different wheels or parts to repair a turbo (thus needing to know what to buy). If you would like more info on the subject you will have much better luck digging for information on the turbo buick and GN forums. Hope this helps a little!
