I just got my new Z, and I was wondering if I should drive it easy or hit hard, or drive it easy and hit it hard once a while, or just drive it easy until a certain amount of mile?????

Any suggestions Thanks

I agree. Break it in the way the owners manual sez. then do what you want. I tend to drive it conservatively on the street, and hard on the track. the tires wear quickly so keep that in mind. And they're not that cheap.

how high did you hsve the RPMS and for how long... see its not good to go balls out on a brand new engine.. all the seals havent had time to set and everything is reay tight... you go balls out on a new engine and your seals will set improperly and will be more prone to leak... such as the rear main seal.. also theres since all the parts are tight theres going to be a lot more friction going on in the engine... just drive it cool for the first 2000 miles or so then do what you want..... or wait at least after its first oil change....

Well, 1st gear up to 6k rev, 2nd the same 3rd 5k, 4th 3k.

The first 2 gear I rev it very hard, only one time have'nt done it again, when I'm driving now I don't go more than 4k rev, I try to keep it at 3k through each gear.

My guess, you'll probably be fine, but you ought to scale back the hard driving until she's properly broken in. The owners manual also recommends you not to drive it too long at a one speed during the break-in.

you should be fine, someone before you probably drove it harder (i.e. lot attendants at dealers)...there are a lot of views on proper break in, some offer great points with testing to back them up. Drive it like you want to, its yours and thats what a warranty is for anyhow, enjoy!

Yeah I kept mine under 4k rps till I got to 2000 miles.

I did beat a civic or two while keeping it uner 4krps though.
