Here's what I have. VIN: JN1As44D5T050643 96 240SX Complete interior. Thsi is going to be placed in a car other than another Nissan. But what I need is wiring information on gauge Cluster, A/C Controls, Power Window switches, Power Door Lock switches, and Power Mirror Switch.

I will also need information on the cluster it's self. Such as specs on Tach and speedo. I can test out the others.

Here's the Fun part it will be going in this.

As well as a 3.8liter Supercharged V-6 from a Pontiac GTP.

If you can help with a couple diagrams please do. If you have any questions about me or my BIG project Ask away.

Thanks.Stu

I do have a couple questions. Is that your living room see surrounding the interior of a car???

The second question would be why do you desire to put a nissan interior in a fiero? wont fitament be a major problem?

most of the controls for the windows and the door locks are operated by a control unit. the speedo head is the speed sensor for the nissan ecm. if its auto air it uses various sensors through out the car including under the hood to operate properly.

what specs are you looking for on the speedo and tach? I dont think even the srvice manual lists the specs. its pretty much flow diagnostics if one step of the diag for those is bad replace it. no specs on the devices themselves are given just specs for what they should recieve( specs on the sensing devices) .

Yep that's my Living room. Wife decorated it. I made it messy.

About the speedometer I'm wondering the Pulses per mile. The A/C isnt' the automatic type. Just manual working so I just need to know what each wire is assigned to do.

And The Tach Pulses per RPM.And the Just teh schematics for the switches so I can rewire them to the Fiero Harness.

I've done this all to another one that has a Firebird dash and door panels but now I'm tackling this one since I got the entire interior for $125 and I didn't really like the large gauge hump on the Firebird dash.

As far as fitment goes It will fit. I've seen one put in but none of the guages work and the owner used all the Fiero controls and switches. It looks bad if you ask me.Here's a link to it. http://www.tekchip.com/ferrari/fiero_fusion.asp

I'll see what I can do as far as switches go for wiring. but I dont think It lists exact specs for what you want in pulses what they tell you to do with speed generator diagnosis is to use an a/c meter and spin the gear if it generates volts it is deemed ok. no specs are given just that it registers something. I will look at that when I have the manual out but I am pretty sure thats how its stated. Dont know about tac I thumb through that too.It will be tomorrow night about this time if I have any answers for ya.

Ok thanks. I'll probibly use tone generator software with a computer sound card to test at known measurements and calculate the recrystaliztion of it that way. Knowing would make it easier though. i'll probibly do the same with the Tach.

Thanks for the welcome but believe it or not you have the equipment too and just don't know it.

Would you like your gauge to read let's say 180MPH? Maybe just for fun have a second cluster to take to a show or something and have it read 300MPH for a joke or the WOW factor? With a simple headphone extension and some clips you can test a speedometer with your sound card in your computer. Just generate a tone on the stock speedo. Write down the reading on the speedo. Next generate another tone. Write this down. Try to locate like 20 40 60 80 100 120 with the tone generator. USe the calculator to double check your measurements since they should be the same percentage apart in frequency. Hold that Sacred. Next have your new face made with accurate marks. Or just the same marks but different numbers. Then play your first tone. Swap crystals until you have it correct. I'll work this out when I do mine cause there is a formula I just don't have it on me right now.

The info is printed on the back of the speedo.

All it says is 60MPH = 1240 RPM that tells me what the final drive is but nothing about the Pulses per minute from the Sender.

Got another question. Why don't you put in a real engine like a small block v8 LS1 or mabey a Northstar? I'm sure you've seen http://www.v8archie.com but in case you haven't. Also if you want to here a Northstar uncorked from the factory granny exhaust go to http://www.corsaperf.com.

Also every Fiero owner needs to know about http://www.fierostore.com. I'm sure you've already seen this but just in case. About those V8's though, I think they would probly weigh about the same since that iron(?) block V6 w/ a supercharger I'm sure isn't the lightest thing around. The V8's do bolt in with a couple of adapters, too.

About all the electrical stuff, would it be just as easy to just swap in the blower motor/ducting/controls/ect. from a 240 as well or are those parts not available to you.

You have just asked the worst question you could possibly ask. On a Fiero related Forum when that question gets asked as Civil War breaks out. Here's a list of engines SWAPPED. 3.4 DOHC, 3800SC series II, 4.6 Northstar, 4.9L V8, 305, 350, 383 Stroker, and even the 400 Small block.

Each person selects the engine they want for their own reasons. With a V8 conversion especially when using the v8Archie kit you retain the stock Fiero Transmission. As well as the adaptors costing around $1,500.

I chose the 3800SC series II for it's ability to rev higher than a V-8 except for the northstar and be able to put out some serious power. You can also use the auto transmission that comes bolted to the engine as well. I like this since the transmission was MADE for this engine.

Want another reason?Watch this. http://www.fierox.com/speed.movhttp://w ... /race6.mov

Plus the 3800 get good fuel milage too and with a small fuel tanks that's important! Last fillup cost me $9.50 for the cheap stuff. Needle was sitting on E when I got it too. At 1.379 a gallon that's only 6.88 Gallons that it took in. I believe I have a 10 gallon tank.
