I got a 89 ka24e with rebuilt engine that i d like to make into a daily driver/street racerengine and transmission are in excellent condition while the chasis is rotting all over, the brakes are totally useless and air conditioning/sound system is not working performance mods uptil now areintake,intercooler,new harnessing, engine internals (new pistons and rings to be specific), test pipe, 3' exhaust pipe and 4' exhaust tip, racing clutch and removed all power windows,locks blah blah here are my options1- get a new chasis,swap the ka24e and transmission and all the other mods into it then turbo charge it (is turbo charging ka24e is harder than ka24de ??)2- get a new car 91-94 ka24de then turbo charge it3- just rebuild/weld the frame put in new brakes,sounds system and yes you guest it TURBO charge it 4- maybe just maybe get a ca18det (got one here for 400$) and get a new chasis and put it in (whish i could get rb25det but too expensive)

so any suggestions will be welcome

oh also very strange problem; I cannot stop the wipers while the engine is on unless i take out the fuse any guesses

Oh by the way i am only looking around 250/280 hp just enough to get eclipses,wrxs,srts (corvette or porshe hunting maybe later)

Thats a really good price for the CA18!!! Get that and drop in another 240, or even a 200SX. How complete is the CA? If you arent gonna buy it let me know!

If i were you, or if i were anybody with a ca18 for 400 bucks, i would definately do that. you definately dont want to start welding up the frame. If not the CA18, i would swap the KA motor over to another 240 with a solid shell, or maybe a Datsun 510??

turbo IS your only way to go on the KA for 280 whp

the only thing that ive found that makes the E harder to turbocharge than the DE, is the fuel injectors and rail, the E is top feed, while the DE is sidefeed. which CAN cause some problems, but for the power youre looking for you can probably use topfeed 370s.

you have an intercooler on a N/A motor?

i got like 2500$ so i was thinking of buying the ca and a new chasis and keeping my ka24e my mech says he can drop in either the ca18det or ka24e for around 350$ into the new chasis

also how much would a reasonable condition chasis would cost me. 500$ ? 700$? i am looking for 91-94 hatch i dont like the pig nose that much (although it looks better than %90 of the cars around for that price)

by the way the ca is complete w/trans and whole clip my friend is selling it because he is putting a new rb25det into his 93 240sx if i dont buy it ill be happy to arange it with one of you guys.

the intercooler was there when i bought the car he was planning for a Turbo upg but couldnt come up with the money (all the other upgs done by me).

more feedbacks will be welcome so now the choice is between 1 and 4 advantages of both will be helpfull
