Big problems!! turbo boosted to about 30psi

I dont know what caused this but I hope it didnt cause to big of a problem as I detonated....I have all kinds of problems...lol oil from the BOV. uncontrollable boost. A new turbo thats waiting to go in, but needs to be clocked. When will it just run right!!! anyway enough bitching. I need to know what you guys think about the uncontrooled boost despite a greddy profec b spec 2 and the oil from the BOV. Im guessing the turbo is toast and it must have been that way since I got the engine last year, as this car has been an ongoing project and only recently have I been able to drive it. not suprising that the shop I bought it from has since gone under.(night7) I just hope I didnt hurt anything by the 30 pound spike. help me out guys!!!

well, i read an article about a teg, that ran 25 psi, but of course had everything replaced and/or reinforced, and i think he had to rebuild the engine every 20k or so. dbut id say, if your pressure spiked to 30 psi (even though i dont see how that could happen) and youve got oil comin out of your bov, id say your royaly f'ed. I mean, anytime detonation occurs, its definatly not a good thing. Im confused about this oil in the BOV though, because the bov is not even directly connected to the engine. Can anyone varify this for me? Good luck fixing whatever damaged it caused, sorry i cant be of more help.

you have shot the seals in the turbo, the oil is coming from the turbo oil feed and is getting thrown into the intake piping and out the bov.

What kind of exhaust setup do you have? Is your turbo internally or externally wastegated. The only reason that i can think of that your Turbo produces that kind of boost is from the wastegate sticking closed or maybe your vacume lines for your Boost Controller is messed up. But if it is external then it would just be running off the spring and i have yet to hear of a 30lb spring. Good luck and i hope for your sake the detonation didnt cause catostrophic damage, though if it didnt happen immediatly it sure didnt make things better.~Sam
