having some serious problems at full throttle when i am in second and third gear. i believe that it is a couple things it might be either the clutch or it also think that it might be the fuel filter, however i did replace it about 25,000 miles ago, but i dont think that is it. when i am in second gear around 2500 rpms between 3000 rpms. I have a couple mods to the ignition system, i have a brand new stock distributor and i have the nology hot wires with ngk iridium plugs. so let me know what you think and i have also lost alot of power in my midrange and i have no idea why

my guess is check all of ur wires, ive heard a lot of this crap when dealing with nology wires, and also, u may have a problem with the fuel pump or lines, def check them, as far as ur ignition, i dunno, not exactly an expert in that field, and the only reason i doubt its hte fuel pump is because u didnt mention the problem in 1st gear

Change the fuel filter more often than that and make sure your spark plugs are gapped right.

yes, its amazing how much such a small difference in something that may seem as in-important as spark plugs can screw u up so badly

well i still have a lil bit of a problem...i replaced the fuel filter today and nothing has really changed, i havent picked up anything and i haven't really lost anything either. Also one other thing is that i dont really think that my computer is getting a full reading of the AIT b/c a long time ago i got this thing off of ebay and i wanted to see if it would work and i used electric tape to splice the thing in and see if it would help at all and i did and when i did it it worked for like the first couple days i got so much more out of it like my midrange was just nuts and then after a couple days it just stopped working and it was almost like it wasnt even connected on there before. Here is an example...

i go to the track with just the stillen 4:1 header and ngk iridium plugs on the stock wires and i run a 15.9 @ 86.3 mph and then i go back down there with nology wires put on and a new rotator clip as well as this lil chip that i got off ebay for like 15 bucks or something like that and this was after i had been driving it for a while with the thing on there and i get down there and the best that i can run is a 16.2 at like 83 mph and that is what i was running stock with 17" rims and not even lowered yet, well i was actually running that back in november of last year and that is what had happened, ask fred about what i ran ne ways that is basically what had happened over the past 6 months with my car and it has been running good on and off now and then and i am not for sure what the heck the problem is. I am going to take it down to a nissan dealer to hook it up to the console to see if it is retarding my timing at all and i am going to see if i can get the tech to advance it a little bit but if anyone has any ideas as to what i should do let me know

good point man it seems really like there really isnt ne one on here ne more since it is an altima forum, but nobody seems to fix up altimas for some reason.

I am so pissed right now, i was on my way home from a movie and i see this 200sx SE-R that i actually knew the previous owner and i pulled up next to the guy at about 60 or 65 something like that and i try to race him and the guy just sits there and doesnt do ne thing so i am like ok whatever and i get about 2 links ahead of him doing about 70 and i see the guy flying up behind me so i drop into 3rd to try and match the speed but by the time i match the guys speed he is already at like 100+ and when i start to gain on him which is about 115 the guy slows down and calls it a race, now answer me this is that really a race or was he just doing a ricer fly by or something, b/c that really pissed me off.

thats defintely a ricer fly by, thats why he backed off once u started gaining on him, he probably wanted to get ur attention to race, but then once he realized that you were gonna get him, he decided to back off, anyway, im gonna mod my altima (hopefully :() and then there will be a whole 2 of us on here with modded altimas , bud has 18s on his altima, and jezter has a stock v6 with a grille, so basically everyone that has one, its their wife's car, jezter actually drives the spec V, and bud drives the wrx

ain't that a bit*# dude it seems like there is really no one out there that is modding up an altima, what are your plans for yours, i just got a few things done to mine and actually fixed the problem with my car and added about 50 hp to the wheels

damn, thats a plus, and as far as altima tuners, can u blame them, sure i love my altima, but people who want the sportiness part of it, could just opt for the spec V, which still has 4drs, or even a wrx, which is much sportier, and still has room for 4, or 5 if u squeeze, or if u want the luxury part, then you get the altima, or the v6, but then again, if you're that mch into luxury, you wont be modding the altima either, the market is so big nowdays, you almost have to want a particular car just cause , to actually buy it, the altima has a lot to contend with, trying to be a sports sedan as well as a 'nice' car (ie: wrx, spec V, g35s, accords, camry's, a4s, among others), as far as plans for my car, i hope to get some wheels, and tint the windows soon (which i know has been in my sig forever) but i dont know what i plan on doing, i may mod it and keep her for a good 1oyears or soething, or i may keep her just how she is, take care of her, and sell her in 5-7 years and get something more sporty, if i do mod my car, i want to go all out, not half *** it ya know?
