Ever since i bought my TT-Z about 2 months ago i have been slowly trying to get it running right as well as doing some mods to it as well. But the most recent trip to nissan was alot more than i expected so soon, they told me that every vacuum line has been dissconnected and reconnected wrong as well as my injectors were leaking. I had brought the car in because i had just installed a JWT chip with boost jets but noticed it didnt have any effect on the boost unless it was cold and even then it wasnt consistent. My buddys over at nissan know that i plan on modding it so they told me that the price to fix everything oem by them would prob be more expensive than if i sent it somewhere else with upgraded parts. It is a 1991 300zx with 111000 miles on it, first ?... what should i do? is it worth upgrading and sending out or should i be looking for a new z? and if its worth fixing where is a good place to send it to on the east coast? i live between utica new york and winston salem north carolina. and finnaly i planned on upgrading the turbos to some jwt 580bb's... is this a good time to do it or should i just get it running right???

Thanks alot i really appreciate any input!!!

Well i know i need to get it running right but part of getting it running right leaves me with options of getting it running with with oem parts or aftermarket parts and i definently planned on upgrading it. And as far as nissan tells me it'll be more expensive for them to go through my whole car and get it running right then it will be to send it out and get everything done by a speciality shop.

As far as the 240 im not to sure. I know the sr20 is the engine code for a silvia not an skyline and i know the S13 sr20 and trans bolt up. Try posting that question in a 240/sr20 forum.

we are located in harrisburg illinois. close to where the SIU saluki's are located. if you are familiar with college basketball. we only do turbo's for mopar and chevy. some ford. my 240 is the first foriegn car we have worked on. so we are learning as we go.

I'd suggest trying to find out where the local Z32's have their aftermarket work performed, try checking with your local z car club, zcca.org you might even find a knowledgable member in your area willing to help

Exactly. There's no better way to find trusted Z shops and good Z people in your area than through Z associations

Also, the car is certainly worth fixing.

Ive tried lookin around and just havent had any luck finding anything or anybody to point me in the right direction. Im assuming that theres not going to be a shop in state that specializes in 300zx's so im ready to drive it somewhere to have it worked on. Does anyone have any suggestions to some good shops along the east coast to bring my car to have serviced/tuned? Or nsrz32 would you mind if i just dropped my car off for you to work on it?
