Ok I got a major problem with my electricity while swapping form my old ka24e to a ca18det. The car just will not start. I’ve managed to wire the fuel pump directly on the ignition switch. But still my coils and injectors won’t get any electricity. I must say I did not swap the rest of the harness I only got the engine harness and the part that comes from the igniter, I got the injector resistor, and igniter. I have also build an extra relay in the box, because the ka24e, does not use an ignition coil relay. The whole problem is in the part where the engine harness connects to the rest of the harness. I even tried to connect a + wire to one of the +wires of the coil, because when doing an sr20det swap, and you don’t have the whole car harness, you just wire the fuel pump directly and add the + wire the a coil or injector, and it will work fine. If anyone has done this swap the way I’m doing it please let me know how can I solve this problem. My car has been like this for 2 months already, and it’s driving my nuts. I have an other problem with the turbo but I have put it in an other threat. Look for it if any one can help.

I don't know who's you guys' swap where you're from, but you should never wire a fuel pump directly. And with these nissan engine and eccs systems, the car is already set-up to handle fuel pump related duties if you hook the engine harness up correctly. Your problem is, you wiring job is jacked-up and it's not going to start if you keep trying it the way you mentioned.

Dude, you really need to lay an eyeball on the schematic for your car and the schematic for the CA harness. Sounds like you're missing a relay, namely a FUEL PUMP relay. You're gonna burn your **** up wiring the pump directly to the ign switch!

You may also want to check your grounds if they are not one properly they will give you problems. Question when you turn the key on and turn it off does the car still stay on. If you turn the key to the acc on on position the fuel pump should turn on to prime the system to start. Check the grounds!! I had the same problem when I pulled my ca out to build it and put it back in the fuel pump wouldnt turn on and i discovered it was the grounds.

ok i'm gomma check on the gronds. but i think the problem sits in the part were you have the 3 plugs that is from the car and connect to the engine harness. i can seen that the wires don' match. but i'll let a professional do that part of the job 4 me.

Check your Chassis to engine ground. My brothers wouldn't do anything until we realized it wasn't attached. Attached it and vroom!!! CA alive!!
