this is a long one!! ok! so i get a flat tire (the front drive) and i get a new one! i get a 235/45zr 18 ( i had 215/40zr 18)... so im happy i got new tires!so i drive off the lot and i notice that the tires are rubbing on the struts! (thats not good!) so i get home and i lift the suspension(i had it really low). and the problem is solved! so i thought! so about 2 weeks later i noticed that the tire was wearing out very fast! (all alone the out side of the rim[facing out]) i was like "what the hell!!" so i get new ones! and yesterday i noticed that it is happening again! I NEED HELP!! WHAT IS THE PROBLEM. this has never happen before ever since i lifted the car!(this never happen with my old tires) ....... ME-> "please help"

This might seem really obvious but have you made sure the tire pressure is correct?

What's the offset of your wheels? You might need to pull/role your fenders.

I don't know a ton about that but there are several write-ups on how to pull/role and you should do a search on wheel offsets to see if people with wheels your size have had to do this. With 235s I'm assuming you have at least 18x8.

OH OK ... I HAVE A 18 X 7.5 AND I CHECKED THE WHEEL WELL AND IT DOESNT RUB, OR HIT. AND I DONT THINK ITS THE TIRE PRESURE BECAUSE IT ONLY WEARS ON ONE SIDE, BUT THE THING IS THAT IT NEVER DID THAT BEFORE.... THAT IS WHY I AM CONFUSED.

i thought you had to get your car aligned when raising and lowering it? Either way it sounds like an alignment issue because of the unusual wear pattern.

Does your car pull to one side or the other?

camber doesnt wear out tires, tow angles do, get an alignment... and if your tire was rubbing on the fender, it would shred more than "wear" out... get it rolled.

Sound like you need to put some sort of wheel spacers to clear the strutsand any time you raise or lower your car it changes the goemetry so you need to do an alignment your toe is probably out of whack. Man can toe tear up some tires and quick 2.

Alright, Are you saying it is the sidewall or the edge of the tire??? If it is the sidewall then you need more negative camber or roll the fenders....If it is the outside edge of the tread then you need to check your alignment.....Incorrect camber and toe will cause premature wear....

It's your wheel alignment you fool. Just pay the 70 or whatever it is to get it aligned properly.

Please get it straight....Camber does wear out tires.....Negative is inside edge wear and positive is outside edge wear......

yes, camber DOES wear out tires, but when you lower your car, your camber changes, but your toe also changes. toe will KILL your tires wayyyy before camber will.and why the hell did you go from a 215/40 to a 235/45? thats a huge difference in sidewall height.and learn some damn english and grammar. thats one ****ing confusing post.

Well let's see now. According to your initial post, you replaced one front tire; a 215/40-18 with a 235/45-18. The 235/45-18 is 26.33" overall diameter, while the 215/40-18 is 24.77". There's a 1.56" difference in height. That'll screw up the alignment, tire wear and especially the handling.

You did two things that should never be done with a car for street use.- installing unequal tire sizes on either the front or the rear- changing the height of the suspension without doing an alignment

Every time you change the height of the suspension, the alignment will change.

You need a course in suspension-101.
