Hey a while ago my car started running rough so I found it was running on three cylinders so I replaced all the electrical like plugs cap rotor and that didn't fix it so I posted on here and some one told me it was my injector. So I checked it and sure enough it was, so I got the injector and I put it in and everything is nice and smooth up to this point and so I go to start the car and it just keeps cranking and not starting. This goes on for a while and so I got it running after pumping the gas while cranking it and this massive cloud of smoke comes out and keeps coming out and doesn't stop and all the while the car is running really rough and then I let of the gas and the car stalls out. I do this three times and then I check my plugs and they are covered in oil.

Can anyone help me?

thanks adios Josh

Did you make sure that you installed the fuel injectors correctly? Make sure everything is connected right. Did you make sure that you put the fuel pump fuse back in after you relieved the fuel pressure.

Yes I did all that and it just all of a sudden did that. i know a fuel injector its self doesn't make all that happen. Its realy weird.

Well there's a couple of things that come to mind. I'd say first check the oil for gasoline in it, this could happen if you have some washed piston rings. This happened to me, some gasoline got into the cylinder while replacing the injector causing it to dissolve the oil that sealed the piston/rings and cylinder wall. If this happens your oil will be really really thin and smell like gas. This could also cause the gas/oil mixture to be pushed back up into the chamber where the plugs are.

If that is the condition you need to drain the oil and you might be able to re seat/seal the piston rings by putting a little transmission fluid or just oil down the spark plug hole, not too much though. I the cylinder is flooded w/ gas or the gas oil mix, you'll have to empty that first before putting anything other fluid in there. I removed the gas from my cylinders via a long spray bottle top. You might have to repeat the re seating/sealing a couple of times. Then refill your oil and there you go. Don't be surprised if you have another injector problem, I've had 3 blown o-rings before I got it right.

All this assuming that nothing is majorly blown, if it is, i forsee a rebuilt

What I went though, might help IMO, zerothread?id=120425

Good luck.

Yessum, The second time i replaced the injector (when I "washed" the piston rings) it let oil from below blow past into the cylinder. Lots of smoke til it stopped. I'm lucky I didn't severly damage anything. And in that sort of problem it's best not to even start the engine, til it's fixed.

Thank you so much I drained my oil and I didn't need to pump out any gas/oil at all but I had about two or so gallons of gas in my oil and it stunk realy bad lol. So instead of trans oil I use miracle oil or something and I got a pump and shot about two pumps into each cylinder, cleaned my plugs and then replaced my oil and I put a half a quart in my oil and the rest in my gas. (yes you can use it in your gas, the stuff is awsome). Then I fired it up and it ran super smooth and gave a bunch of smoke but then I took it on the expressway and blew out the access and drove it today and it was perfect! It smoked in the morning a little bit but that is it. Thank you sooooooo much!!!

chemicals are a temp fix, sounds to me like it is time to get your hands dirty, and do a re-ring.

Well that may be the case but I don't think Ill need to change the rings any time soon due to the fact that before I replaced the fuel injector I had good compression. The gas ate the oil seal on the rings so I had to reseal the rings w/ new oil.

I do not doubt how ever I may need to do a re-ring job sooner or later.

ThanksAdiosJosh
