Call up AMS and tell them this. How long has the engine been running? Does the AMS crate engine come with an oil pump?

I think the obvious question is...Do you have any oil in your motor or oil pan?

i have to have oil pressure bc the engine didnt lock up and it ran just fine. i only have about 4k on my motor and put 1k or less with this problem. they come with a new oem oil pump

I'd install an oil pressure gauge, if it has not had oil pressure something is ruined. Get an electric one from harbor freight 20 bux is worth being able to verify you have oil pressure. Yes I have one and yes it seems accurate...53psi cold oil 20ish at 650rpm on hot oil, cranks upwards of 70 when on it hard. But beyond that it will verify oil pressure! or if you dont mind risking oil in the cabin sunpro has em for 30 bux at autozone...

it was a bad oil filter bc i put a new one on (dry) only for testing. than i left my oil feed line to my turbo off and started my car. oil came out the feed line than i took off my filter and it was full of oil. so i put the feed line back on let it idle to clean it all out. now im going to order up a oil pressure gauge

I'm surprise you didnt blow anything, maybe you didnt lube the rubber ring of the oil filter when you installed it. Good luck and hope it doesnt happen again. Shiiiit i'm running Dominator AMS oil and K&n filter, it makes oil change such a hassle w/ $$. i have a built motor myself and i would probably freak out like crazy to see no oil in filter. LOL

yea fram oil filters are complete junk. theyre basically just a conglomeration of cardboard on the inside. K&N is good. ive had really good luck with purolators myself

Purolator, AMSOIL, or Mobile one. The purolator pure one gets my vote on 90 percent of builds, 'cheap' and awesome. AMSOIL is hardcore, and the mobile one works well too. I only use mobile one filters in a pinch. You pay for the name, although it is a quality filter.

royal purple has a problem of 'disappearing.' i've got a buddy that ran it in a 750 brute force, he heard knockin sounds, killed it and checked his oil: empty. far as a filter goes, i only trust WIX.
