They are called "yankee vans". They are not fast, in fact most of them are diesel. The bodywork is fiberglass and very fragile. They are for cruising and picking up hos. I could think of better ways to spend 50-grand though. One guy around here has a huge plasma flatscreen TV in the back window of his. I am never bored when I get stuck behind his truck in traffic, I just watch TV!

I have been looking on the Net and can't find any pictures. Rent "Black Rain" and pay attention to the backgroud when they are driving around at night. You will see the trucks with all the cascading lights, big chrome push bumpers and cowls, airbrush art etc.

How many of you have seen "Old School" its got a bad *** short wheel base chevy van (think its a chevy, and i wouldnt mind having it). It really dosent look like any of the other vans, and seems like its probably pretty fast. Also that movie was pretty damn funny.

heres something funny like about two years ago, a friend of mine in one of my free periods showed me this vid of a dodge carvan beaten the hell out of camero Z28. i don't know what it where it has but the whole tape went like this. the carvan pulls up next to a Z28 (at a drag stip) the guy in the camero looks at him and starts laugh (like who wouldn't) so the camero reved up and the carvan just rolled up to the line. the camero thought that he was going to have a easy win. the light turn green and the carvan ran like a 10.3 or some poop and the camero ran like a 14.1 13.8 i was like what the F*K! it was like a 93-94 carvan.

That van has it's own site dedicated to it, actually. It's this guys family-hauler/towing machine/daily driver/drag racer. Turbo woody van that runs 12.8's I think. Quite the spectacle....
