Let me start by saying that I have done the search and have not been able to come up with any related topics to refer to, as far as my problem is concerned.Well, I have a 2000 Nissan Maxima SE with about 119,000miles on the odo. I have had several issues with ignition coils, CV joints etc. But what really gets me is the current electrical problem i'm having. I first realized this problem when I stopped, got out of the car and removed the key from the ignition for a few seconds, when I got back in the car, none of the internal electronics worked i.e. locks, windows, sunroof and seats. After several attempts between inserting and turning the key in the ignition, everything finally started working again. Fast forward, several months, and my buddy was driving my car and basically did the same thing (removed the key from the ignition for less than a minute with the drivers door open, when he got back and started the car, all the electronics stopped working again!! So I thought if I tinkered with it like I did before it will work out fine, but to date the problem has not been solved. And to make matters even worse, sometimes it is possible to lock and unlock the car using the key fob and at times I would lock the car using the key fob and the horn would sound and everything but when I physically check the locks the doors would be unlocked until I do it manually using either the key or physically pushing the locks! The seats, sunroof, windows etc have not worked since. I remember once I had removed battery and when i put it back the driver's seat would move but stopped as soon as I put the key in the ignition and turned it. Sometimes I would hear a buzzing sound from under the dashboard and clicks whenever I have the key in the ignition and turned it.Please help! Has anybody experienced this before?

Have you checked with AZ or AA to see if the battery is effed up? Have you checked your battery terminals for corrosion? Have you checked your ground on both the alternator and the battery?

Check that first. Sounds like the car is shorting out or a power wire is lose.

Thanks for taking your time to reply.I have checked that and all seems to be working just fine. The battery terminals are good and clean. I just keep hearing a buzzing sound under the dash before everything stops to work.
