Well, today ive recieved my Tien's, as well as my KYB SR specials.

I thought the specials were a full front strut (including spindle/knucle etc) but to my surprise its only a strut cartridge, which will make it 50x easier than I was inticipating. I only have one concern, of how tight the octagon is on the OE strut.. hopefully a good pair of pliars will pull it right off

Ive recieved my new rims (tires coming on wednesday). AS well as the tuner lugs required to install the rims.. Unfortunatly the lugs i ordered were shipped with the wrong key (7 slotted lugnuts, with a 6 sided key!), so thats slowing me down.

Also recieved my HAWK HPS pads, and drilled rotors

Like i said, the Q is going under the knife pretty soon!, just waiting for the tuner lug key

I suppose i can make a write up if it will help someone in the future

Please don't use pliers on the strut cartridge nut! Get the right sized wrench or at least a large enough crescent wrench. Also be sure that you pop the spacer into the bottom of the SR cartridge so it fits snugly in the housing. Good luck, you'll love it I believe. Oh, DON'T cut the bump stops, the Tein instructions say not to.

Yeah, i recall reading about not cutting the bumpstops, never planned on it in the first place

i made an attempt at removing the front struts last night to do the swaperoo, but i had a hell of a time removing the sway bar nut... it felt like it wasnt turning.. I could see the nut slowly like.. moving, but you can tell it wasnt loosening... I stopped there, and am waiting for a day at the shop.. The last thing i want to do is break my Q, and be stuck with a ford ranger.. :-/

and an update, I have the tires mounted on the rims.. 245/35/19, they were a pain in the *** to get the bead's seated.. took me about 15 minutes per tire.. but i got it done.. just waiting on the key for the wheel lug's
