What are the biggest brakes a s14 can take? I was looking around online at the Brembo GT catalog and got to wondering what are the biggest brakes a 240sx can take. Standard big brake kit for 240sx has radi: a.) 29 b.) 110 and c.) 188. Measurements are taken as such:

Now I was wondering if 350z big brake kits (48x122x200) would fit on a 240sx . Also, what are the dimensions of standard 300zx swap brakes?

z32 brakes will do just fine, (infact more then fine) Unless you car has over 400 horses.

Altima brakes are a nice upgrade for cheap.

Z32 is a nice mid-level swap.

If you wanna get retarded, Supra TT rotors (or 3000GT VR-4) with Z32 calipers are humongous (330 mm).

Better have big wheels and plenty of clearance. Also, no sense upgrading rotors if your tires aren't sticky as all hell, and there's also no sense in bigger brakes if you don't want to get into brake balance controller and upgraded lines / MC / fluid.

i think he meant brembo's 350z brakes. don't see why they wouldn't work. as long as you have 5 lug hubs and the adapter plate to put the caliper on your spindle.

Unless you are planning to heavily road race the car I wouldn't go any bigger than the Z brakes.

If you are gonna road race it ... I'd suggest Stoptech's 332mm brake kit, as it's a good bang for the buck amongst the other aftermarket setups (AP Racing, Brembo, Etc)

Haha, I was just wondering what the biggest brakes that could fit were. Wonder if anyone has done something like the stuff you guys mentioned. I bet it would look pretty funny to see such huge brakes on a 240 .

I have a question. My project 240 hatch is going to be back on the road in a couple of weeks. It has stock brakes. If I do the 5 lug nut conversion, will the skyline GTR stock caliper and rotor just fit in?

I suggest you read Car Hacks and Mods for Dummies by David Vespremi. It will change your outlook on how to go about mods, certainly at least take a minute to read the brakes section at Barnes and Noble. Its all about balance baby.
