They actually offer 3 different versions

Rotora 2003+ FX35 & FX45 Front 6-Piston 14" 2pc RotorRotora 2003+ FX35 & FX45 Rear 4-Piston 14" 2pc Rotor

And these monsters .Rotora 2003+ FX35 & FX45 Front 8-Piston 15" 2pc Rotor [RBK.073.02] $3,505.50

PRODUCT PROFILE AND COMPONENTS:

Made of billet aluminum alloy and CNC machined to ensure the highest quality; Rotora's high performance brake system enables superior brake modulation while improving overall pedal feel to ensure equal distribution of weight transfer when braking. To achieve this proportional front-to-rear brake bias, Rotora’s opposing piston calipers are fine tuned by increasing the clamp load to the optimal level while utilizing the stock master cylinder to retain overall front-to-rear brake bias. Rotora’s full big brake system design delivers excellent initial bite, exceptional modulation, and consistent pedal feel. All systems are direct bolt on replacement with minimal modifications required.

OPTIONAL: Standard Caliper Color: red or metallic blue.

Custom Caliper Color: dark blue, chrome, gunmetal, gold, silver, black, or yellow (lead time of 60 days depending on application).

Ceramic Pads: (Rotora offers a wide range of ceramic compound pad grades). Refer to brake pads section to assist in selection.

Disc Type: slotted or drilled & slotted. (For more severe applications, slotted is preferred. For street and light track use, cross-drilled/slotted is acceptable).

FEATURES and BENEFITS:

-Billet aluminum racing calipers provide increased clamp load to ensure equal front-to-rear brake bias.

-Each caliper engineered to provide optimum caliper rigidity and minimum weight.

-Differential caliper piston bore sizes engineered to each specific vehicle.

-2-piece heat treated “floating” directional vane disc system to improve airflow/cooling ensure thermal growth under severe braking.

-Billet aluminum hat with “floating” disc assembly to reduce heat related stress and unsprung weight.

-Drilled & slotted or slotted discs to ensure equal heat dissipation to resist warpage and brake fade while relieving the disc and brake pad surface free of excess debris.

-Ceramic friction material pads designed for extreme high performance street driving and hard braking applications with high co-efficient of friction and high temperature fade resistance.

-DOT compliant steel braided brake lines to improve stiffer pedal feel and prevent brake hose expansion.

-S45C carbon steel mounting brackets (depending on application) with steel studs to provide added strength.

-Direct bolt on replacement to the vehicle’s original suspension.

-Larger disc surface area compared to stock disc to utilize the leverage and increase brake torque.

-All systems are ABS compatible.

-All pistons with dust seals.

-All Rotora brake calipers and 2-piece directional vented discs are factory pre-installed

Dont need to make that work.

Use 300zx big brake kit.

I have one here

Uses a 350z Track rotor the largest available. Then it provides a bracket to space out 300zx brakes.

Since the 300zx brakes bolt onto our cars. The 300zx big brake adaptor works too.

word..... Im going to go with the 350Z rotors when I need to replace mine... Will probably go most of this summer on my current setup... will probably paint calipers come spring.....

the fx setup is 6 bolt, anyway..... I dont think ill be putting on brakes worth half the value of the car..... Really theres no reason to go with something that big.. that many pistons does you no good... They even have 4 pads per caliper! I went with the 300Z brakes because they are cheap.. Who cares if I go through pads and rotors like its nobody's business??? I replenish with new rotors and pads for under 400 with ease..... I bet for a set of the rotora things rotors are 300 for the set, easy....

With the current setup i can nearly lock the tires!!! ****ty pads!

hey wes

can I ask: why 350z? its front rotor alone cost about 200$ and the adapter kit cost anothe 200$

the vr4 rotors are about 75$ and the adapter kit ios about 100$

the difference is only 0.2in

vr4 seems like the way to go. I already considered 350z track rotors for my z32 brake upgrade and the cost of such conversion is just way to much... 400$ vs $175 for 0.2" more diameter ? no thanks!

under $200 for the rotor kit is pretty good, imo..... I'll probably go that route, let me know where you got them... Any of our sponsors carry them?

nope

if you want the 350z track, spl sells the kit for 200$ and you can ebay the rotors but they're about 200$ like I said.

if you want vr4, both can be found on ebay.

I'll be getting it within 2 weeks. I'll let you know how it turns out if you are interested

Rotora is not in the class of most OEM, or even Stoptech.

That's all I'll say.

I always wonder why people use BIG Brake kits from much lighter vehicles and try them on 4,000 pounders and have limited success.

All about weight of rotors, then diameter [torque multiplication] as a secondary.......if the rotor doesn't weigh 20-25% more than oem system doubtful that much improvement will be realized at least in rotor/pad temperature.

Many times the heavier wheels tires that are necessary to upgrade rotor diameter WASH all the gains because the ABS software and fore/aft pressure balance are not redesigned.

The Q biggest brake problem is from not running soft as designed tires......any tire that last more than 15,000 miles is way too hard for effective use of brakes.

What Dennis said!

Also, if you look at the Mitsubishi rotor upgrade, the pad-to-rotor surface is actually less, due to the difference in diameter. You are also introducing more bracketry, which can produce more flex in the assembly.

Don't waste your money, in my opinion.

By the way, those brakes in Rex's original post are the same as on the 2006 C6 Z06.
