would a 14 or 13 inch big brake kit with the new caliper bracket allow the stock calipers to fit or do you need to buy the matching calipers aswell? any comments help thanks!

The most common is upgrading to the 12.75" 350z track rotors. Z1 does make a kit for a 13" rotor as well.

Almost all the Z stores have a kit like below they sell.

I have the 12.75" 350z rotors on mine with the stock calipers, works great for my 19's. Anything bigger though, i believe you have to buy the corresponding calipers as well as the rotors. Really the 350z kit is the best bang for your buck IMHO.

tony, i'm running those as well, but i wonder how they compare to the sz brake it that uses stock-sized rotors and also stock calipers.

i'm only asking because the brackets that i used, from zspeedperformance, required grinding of the calipers.

for all that work, i wonder how much more braking performance they offer (if any) over the specialtyz kit?
