So your lights are dimming? I haven't heard of this problem before... Do you have lots of aftermarket audio equipment?

The big 3 is usually meant for older cars with low gauge wiring in those areas.

It's also meant for hard bass hits and cars that have a lot of toys in them, in that case buy some 0 gauge wire and do it. It really isn't hard just follow the battery wires to wherever they go and replace them with the 0 gauge.

If this doesn't help you might want to consider a capacitor so when the bass hits it doesn't strain your alternator and make your lights dim.

Yeah, 2 jl audio amps, 500 watts apiece. One to 2 10 in subs, one to 6 in car speakersDimming is only during loud hard bass

Sounds like alternator killer to me!

Better fill up the trunk with capacitors.

In that case you need at least the big 3 and a 4 farad cap. Maybe more.

Why not add a an extra battery or two in the trunk?

how exactly does that work. I mean, I cant just throw a battery in the trunk right..it needs to be on a charging system, and if its the same charging system as my other batt. what difference does it make, it still draws from the same alternator?

All you do is unhook the battery from the Hood and put it in the trunk.

Just kidding. Need to SAFELY run Positive/Negative wires to the back. Remember, only do it safely and securely... you don't want your car to die out because a wire is too squished.

The wiring is easy..already have 4g wire from battry to amp. Just do not see the benefit of putting another battery between current battery and amp.what am i missing here?
