Does anyone know what store I can buy some BG44K from? or do I have to order it on-line?

Is BG worth it since the formula was changed? Any alternatives?

If you want to buy BG44K this place has it for a good price:

Many members like Red Line SI-1 and it sells for about $8.95

I like to use Lubro Moly. My favourite 2 products are the Jectron and the Ventil Sauber:

Important to understand the CHEMISTRY of the abnormal residue you are trying to remove, then you can select the proper SOLVENT for the DEPOSIT.Hydrocarbon vs detergent or some quasi mixture of both.

Everything is about temperature necessary to release the binding energy, especially since you cannot overheat without creating other damages.

Always best to TEST outside the engine first on samples.

Years ago I spent weeks on a Q45 head and some rods and pistons trying hundreds of liquids in the lab................a very fine line between cleaning and damaging aluminum.
