I've been searching through the posts for info on BG44K Fuel Additive. I see that BG is highly regarded. However, I don't find any info on how effective the additive is on higher displacement engines like the Y33. BG's advertising blurb states that it is beneficial for small high output engines. Anyone care to comment on this?

If you've been doing the searches, surely you found bg44k references to the y33....it is magic in a bottle. My Y loves it.

Small engines manage to produce "high output" by maximizing air and fuel flow - and thus benefit from anything that helps clean the injectors, combustion chamber, back of intake valves, etc.

Producing approx. 265 horsepower with a mere 252 cubic inches, the VH41DE is indeed a "small", "high-output" engine...

IF you read them in the Q45 forum or infiniti online mechanic, it was probably talking about a G50 or a Y33... in either case, your going to be great for adding 44k to your tank!

You will be rewarded. Just spend a little time every time you log on, and follow the links he supplies. The original posts are rich in detail that gets lost in his later, but gracious, repetitions. A lot are bout the G50, but 95% apply to any car and 98% apply to the FGY33.

Additionally, there are posts from other knowledeable members closely associated with his as he raises the level of discussion beyond "Which dubs should I roll with?"

For a starter, in Infiniti General, there is a compilation of his posts from the old Yahoo Board as an attached text file that serves as an excellent background and primer. I also have a 150+ page MS Word document of the previous NICO board posts of his I will send to any member, especially if they will cover the cost of the CD and postage. Might be other goodies on it too. Way too large to email.
