I just bought some BG injector cleaner from EBAY. (Got a good deal - Injector cleaner+BG 44k+ throttle body cleaner) for $20 shipped.

I know that you need a special tool from BG that pressurizes the injector cleaner prior to introducing into the car. However, a friend of mine stated that you could do the same thing without using the pressurizer. Here is what he stated:

Find a vacuum line close to the throttle body. Trun the car on and disconnect the vacuum feed and connect a long (2 feet) rubber line to the vacuum port.

Crimp the line that you connected with a wrench and feed the other end into the cleaner. Slowly feed the cleaner through the vacuum port - releasing the line slowly - so that the car doesn't stall.

Once finished - turn the engine off for 15 minutes and rev on the highway -

Would this tactic work as well as the other technique? How would intorducing the injector cleaner through the vacuum port clean the injectors?

The throttle body is in front of the vacuum ports! The injectors MUST be RAIL FLUSHED or slowly via BG44k in the fuelThe plenum after the TB and down the infdividual runners to the injectors is where most dirt/egr carbon collects.

You must be careful as 11 ounces is much more than enough to hydrolock a cylinder as the compressed head space is only 55cc..........a can has enough liquid to destroy 4 cylinders and bend their valves!

Why you fog the plenum and don't suck it in thru a vacuum port.
