I am about to use a can of BG 44k. Should I use it with a full or 3/4 tank of gas.

Interesting, I was going to dump it in like you did, but I have to find some nozzle now.

Thanks for the head-up

I would like to know how it changes the performance or mileage of your cars.

I use Chevron 93 Octane always, and use FI cleaner, every month (5000 miles). I have never used BG44, but everyone here hails it's benefits.

Before I drop $200, for a 12 month supply, I would like to know if it is worth the investment, or not.

I am getting 16 miles/gallon now. I will let you know if it worth it in a week.

How long had it been (miles), since you put it in?

I put it in twice a year...... every 6k miles or so....i think of it as preventative maintenance..... 90q has 161k miles....runs smooth as a top.....20mph on hwy.... 17 combined...

spark plugs last changed about 4 years ago at 113k or so...

just got the 94....dumped a can in the day I got it....then again about 2 months later.... also use it on the wifes expedition...

You definately need a funnel for the BG44K. I think they make a version in a plastic bottle (like everyone else) but I've never been able to buy it.

What a DORK! :D

(j/k Ryan)

Use a funnel and a length of fuel line. Makes things much neater. And I add a can at fill-up, but only add 3/4 tank. Then drive like hell until you're on empty... Doesn't do much good slugging around town - You need high rpm's and some good freeway blasting.

When something like BG44k shows some improvement then tapers off after a few tanks [400-1,000 miles], it just proves you need to do a rail flush. BG44k is good but not really designed to clean up really really dirty injectors.

Q which are subjected to the 15 minute or less drive cycle or lots of idling seem to get dirty very fast.

T3 is 15 minutes away and other than 2 stop signs and 4 stop lights the car is at 55-70 mph for 3/4 the 10 miles....not a great situation to keep injectors clean.

So, in my case Dennis, a fuel rail flush might be beneficial.. IE I would see the benefits.....

I have not done it. But you can get it done at the dealer or pepboy. The cost is about $80-100

I would have it done at a dealer... Nissan dealer should have them, and Id go to them.. They seem more plentiful...

Any dealer SHOULD have it.....

Alright. Now I know what BG44 is! I plan on checking it out. Does it remove carbon deposits like Seafoam?

When Q45tech says:

"Q which are subjected to the 15 minute or less drive cycle or lots of idling seem to get dirty very fast."

That sounds like my back and forth to work driving. So what is the best way to keep injectors clean?

can't help but be a thread hog when you've got about a thousand questions even after reading all these threads. Please forgive.

Best way is to use BG44k (better than seafoam, put in gas tank) every 90 days.....

You also need to get it up to operating temp and blow out al the crap.. WOT
