Back in May we told you about the Indiana state police purchasing 18 black Mustang GTs that would be used for traffic patrol. The Mustangs are completely unmarked and only have a light bar inside the top of the windshield to distinguish them as law enforcement vehicles. They are apparently serving their purpose, as evidenced by the 4,600+ tickets written in June by officers driving the Mustangs. One of the citations even included a 1989 Corvette that was clocked at 127 mph, more than twice the speed limit.

Florida has been buying up Hemi Chargers left and right. Same thing all stock looking except for the interior light bars and all blacked out. Most are black, dark gray, or dark blue.

FHP Chargers look pretty nice, they look like they mean business.

I've got to go find my wired magazine. I'm pretty sure that's where I read about a company that's making vehicles specifically for law enforcement. Fast, strong, and lightweight WITH standard armor.

These chargers are hard to find and detect with the naked eyes when one drives their G like a thief. They blend so well into the traffic. In fact, I have found that the cops with chargers don't need to hide behind bushes to give a ticket. They sometimes hang out in broad day light on the open road and still ticket people effectively.

Just look at the rims. The cop chargers have diff rims. Thats how i tell. But i'm not really a speeder.

The cops in New port richey are buying white chargers... and man they hide well! I know that most of the cops with cargers don't have to chrome grill! that is how i spot them from behind... If it has the chrome grill then you don't have anything to worry about!

By the time you get close enough to see what rims they are using, they already have you on the radar. But with the Crown vics, I can see them for at least 1 mile away on a very bright day. And even at night, i know their headlight signature.

In Pasco county only Impalas and New Chargers are cop cars anymore! thank god they are doing away with the crappy furds!

But all the taxis drive old crown vics that they buy from the county for like 2k bux

Basically if you just look out for any blacked out car with black steelie rims, you'll be safe. Even if it's a crappy old car or something I slow down and double check. My buddy had a last gen green pos mustang, there are 4 undercover explorers, and my friends dad had an unmarked dodge intrepid.

The intrepids usually dont have steelies. Those are the ones that creep up on me. Just look like a regular blacked out car.

The State of Washington has a cruiser with a 426 Hemi, 3/4 cams, nitro boosters, they can get it up to as good as 155. I can't find a picture because apparently its too secret but you can find it in a movie where they get pulled over for going 7 miles an hour.

Radar is no biggie, my Escort Passport will pick it up from long before they can get a reading...

Now Lidar (laser) is what sucks. The beam is so narrow, that it almost never is detected by the Passport, and when it is, it's way too late.

I just fight them all, and hope that the officer wrote a crappy report, or no report at all. Bummer thing is that in WA State, they don't have to appear in court for a conviction. Their report is a sworn statemant.

I have learnt that before i go WOT at anytime, i scope out my rear, sides and everywhere my eye can poke, to make sure there are no cops. Its like coordinating a rumba dance---getting ready to go WOT, scoping out for cop, trying to make sure the car behind me stays behind so that i can confuse them with the sweet, sweet sound of the Stillen exhaust, then going WOT in actuality. It is stressful, but it is all worth it.My G is a toy, and not a car.

My buddy's dad is a cop and drove a modified z28, unmarked with the lights in the flip-down visor. You'd never know it was a cop until it was too late.

Pasco country like when i was in High school had a c5 vette and they would try to race you and then pull you over! I think it was a recovered drug car or something lol!

It was red and had chrome wheels lol.. I would have never thought I would have seen a cop in a vette... and that goes to show you that next thing they will be driving is GTR's lol

Everytime im down there I am driving like 120 and people are passing me like im standing still, notheless in bumper to bumper traffic!

God I love Miami and their drivers lol They all are a little crazy!

SFL is pretty good, I love getting down to Broward and Miami-Dade county because yeah people fly. Even up here in Palm Beach the average speed on the Turnpike is like 80, with a lot of drivers doing 90 or so.

as i do a ricer fly by at 85-90 lol
