My radiator cap leaks a little coolant and I don't want to buy another OEM one... they seem kinda flimsy.

Are there better alternatives? Is the size universal or do they vary from car to car?

I got one with a red handle/latch on it at Schucks/Checker/Kraegen. Works SUPER. 7 bucks I think.

My original would leak a few drops, and the replacement one I bought for $2 is leaking, as well. I think I will upgrade to the one like Jesda's.

Glad this thread came up... I just had time to add one to my LR power window regulator I ordered from Joe yesterday! In case anyone is wondering, the factory cap is about $10.

At 125,000 miles I replaced what looked like both originals with two new ones from Joe. It seemed like a good time (was doing hoses and thermostat) although they looked fine.

So the size is universal for most cars??

I don't know of any high-end parts stores in Atlanta, just the Pep Boys, Autozone variety. Any suggestions on where to find an improved design?

Radiator caps have a pressure vent that can be designed to allow higher pressures. I found this link for higher pressure Nissan caps.http://www.performancenissanpa...id=99

There's a pretty good parts/accessory store in Atlanta called Automod. They've been around for about 30 years.http://automod.blastmart.com/c...cat=3
