Better Mileage in City : but at what speed?

hey folks,

Rogue being my first car - have lot of silly questions.

What will be the best speed to drive in city to get good mileage? In most of the forums have read that 55mph is the sweet-spot speed on the Highways.

We obviously cannot drive at this speed in city all the time.

* is 25mph too fuel consuming compared to 40mph? Given the circumstance that while accelerating the RPM is under 1500 - 2000 only (grandma style acceleration)

Taking into consideration - lot of lights, yield signs, crosswalks, stop signs, intersection along the route (but less traffic)

I wouldn't worry about speed, just go the speed limit. The important thing is, like you called it...grandma style, just keep your foot out of it, watch ahead for amber lights so you aren't accelerating up to a red light.
