http://wikicars.org/en/Nissan_240SX on here if u want to read it over but ill post a short part of it to show u wat it says.

this here:
For the model years of 1991-94 the KA24DE engine had cam durations of 240 intake, and 248 exhaust. In the model years of 1995-1998, the cam duration was reduced to 232 intake and exhaust. To compensate for reduced power, the intake manifold was made to flow more freely than the 91-94 model years, resulting in the same 155hp and 160ft. lbs as the 91-94 KA24DE

so would this mean that if i use 95+ intake manifold on my 92 i would have more flow? maybe a very small power gain?

i plan on doing the dual exhuast cams so the two put together would be cheap easy mods for under 200 or less/

155hp stock kade

if the 95+kade have the same power with better flowing intake mani and smaller cams
that would mean the 91-94 with bigger cams + 95+ intake mani=more power? maybe 5+hp?

any advice? options?

this is true in a sense. or you could just remove your intake manifold, and remove the "butterfly flaps" that are in the inside, i think this is what they meant by better flow, they just removed the flaps. so no need to buy a new manifold. i did removal of the flaps in the process of removing my emissions. so do it all in one time, and you wont have to buy new gaskets and such when you remove all your emssions. :) hope this helped.

I remember my friend swapped the top half of an S14 intake onto the bottom of his S13 intake and removed a bunch of emissions stuff also. I would get 4-1 headers, 248/248 cam swap, and a 255lph fuel pump upgrade. The fuel pump actually made a big difference. Me and another friend both have S14 engine's in our S13's, and mine (after the fuel pump upgrade) feels a lot faster and with a lot more pep compared to his. I remember one guy on here that did the 255lph fuel pump upgrade and he was saying how it was one of the best upgrades he had ever done on a KA. I only did it because im swapping to an SR and my stock pump died, so i just bought it to get it out of the way until my SR was done, turned out to be a good upgrade for the KA.

yes there are gains to be had with the s14 upper intake. if i was you (or anyone with an s13 that wanted to remove the butterflys) i would not d!ck with the s13 manifold. the s14 ones are so cheap and you can find them anywhere.
