I am looking to upgrade my brakes, rears first then fronts but I don't have the cash to do a big brake swap and I have a 4 lug so the Z32 swap is out of the question right now. Do you guys have any suggestions on what I shoud use. Brembo makes a nice set of OEM replacements as does Arospeed and Powerslot. I could definately do them because they are around $250 for both rear disks. As far as the pads go I was looking atgoing with either Endless or Project Mu since they both have performance pads for around $120-160 which I can do. My budet is roughly around $400 and I definately need to do something with my rear brakes since they are in the worst shape, the fronts can wait until next month. Prefferably I'd like to do all 4 but thats just not possible right now and I have to go in for inspection by the end of the month. I can do OEM but I really dont want to go OEM just to swap it all out for performance brakes in the next month or 2.

I'm just looking for sugestions here and any reccomdations based on prior usage of any of what I've listed or other suggestions/ideas. There are other cheaper pads out there like Hawk performance pads and a couple of others. I realize it all depends on the usage, I just want something suitable for street/highway use but still have the ability to hold up to hard braking should the need arise.

Thanxs for the help in advance, I'm hoping to do all of this by next weekend. Oh and since I know it will be asked it's a 95 S14 with 4 lug pattern.

you can get z32 rotors for 4 lug, lots of sponsors sell them

do you have ABS or not? that effects the price of rotors...

anyway if you want to keep the calipers stock a got a pretty good setup for you, its actually the one ill be getting in the very near future from SPL

Brembo blank rotors: i dont see them at SPL for s14, only s13, but you could call or get them somewhere else

Hawk HPS pads: $127

brake lines: $90

ATE super blue fluid: $13

if the rotors are the same price that they are for the s13 that setup comes out to $398, believe it or not

if you have ABS, at least with the s13, its $20 cheaper, so even better

Yup...good stuff. I've got those exact parts and am very happy with it. Oh, adding on some speed bleeders will make the whole thing much less painful.

Cool thanx guys. I had seen the Hawk pads elsewhere but had never heard of them before so I didnt know how good or reliable they are. As far as I know I don't have ABS, but I eally don't have a clue. I will do the stainless lines at some point but for right now I am just looking for some permance OEM replacements for the rotors and pads. I do intend to do the big brake and 5 lug swap (still deciding between the Project Mu or Endless setups) but that won't be until this set is worn out (6 months to a year, living in Philly is bad on brakes and suspensions) so this is just a temporary upgrade.

I got Goodridge SS lines, Axis metal master pads, and some drilled/slotted brembo rotors (stock replacements).

I definately recommend getting braided stainless steel lines because of the awesome response. I got drilled and slotted rotors because it rains so much in Florida and they really work well.

IMO it is a great setup for the road or light track use.

as far as the big brakes go when youre ready, unless youre spending a lot of time at the track z32 brakes will be fine

but if you absolutely cant live without a big brake kit, get stoptech and call it a day
