what kind of bridgestones were they...potenzas? My Z is an '06 with stock potenzas and has almost 22,000 miles on them...I could probably go all the way to 25K, but I'm actually gonna order some on Monday through Tire Rack. Since I live in the midsouth where we have mild winters and hot summers, I'm gonna go with an upgraded version of the tires I have now and get the maximum summer performance tires. I've been happy with Bridgestone Potenzas.

If anyone knows of any tires lasting more than 25K, let me know.

I'm talking about 225/45 18's in the front and 245/25 18's in the rear.

-Falken FK452-I know they are not rated to last long, but the stickiness is awesome and performance is awesome, even in the rain - Thats what i bought in July last year (but i don't put miles on the car because its not my daily driver) they are the best bang for the buck. Rated really high, and not really expensive. Just for a note, i have put about 5-6000 miles on the tires and tread life is about 90% or more. So as far as tread wear for me, i bet i get another year out of these at least.

*note* this is my opinion and experience, i refuse to debate tires, its silly.

It all depends...do you want tires just for the spring, summer & fall? I would highly recommend Toyo Proxy T1 R's, that's what I have on my 19's & I'm very satisfied with the riding comfort. If your looking for all season tire..Goodyear F1 GS D3, excellent ratings.

Michelin Sport PS2 is also excellent.Other good ones are Yokohama AVS Sport

I would stay away from BFG KDW-2.....very noisy!

I love your wheels. I have been looking for some 19's for the past 3 weeks and have been unsuccessful. Is there anyway possible you may tell me the specs of yours so I know what to look for? I promise, I wont get the same ones, I just love the way they sit and height between the car and the rim.

Thanks for the compliment. You can buy the same ones, no problem at all with me. Your not living in my neighborhood. It took me on & off over 2 years before I made my decision to buy wheels. They were not my "got to have wheels soon" priority list. There is so much to learn not only about the rims but also the tires and most of all the offsets. I don't believe in using spacers at all. In fact most wheel mfgt. will not guarantee any warranty issues if spacers were used & IMHO they are very dangerous. The classifieds are loaded with ads that guys made poor decisions when buying their wheels. Not enough research!BTW my ZR is not lowered & I don't plan on doing it anytime soon.

Also...I pay cash for all of my mods and I felt that for my baby roadie, the shoes needed to be one of the best quality & with 'turning heads' looks!Tons of research too!

Getting back to the specs: iforged 19" 2pc. alloy aluminum with a brushed aluminum finish on the split spokes & a highly polished aluminum lip...I like the deep dish look!

Because of the style I chose I had to settle for an 8" front & 10" rear wheel. The offsets are customized w/exact measurements. I cannot disclose the offsets. The tires are Toyo T1 R's a high performance summer tire of which makes my ride awesome because of the 19's....you need to buy high quality tires when you start getting into 19's & up.

Upon the recommendation of the wheel mfgt. I had to settle for a 235/35/19 for the front...I really wanted 245/35/19 but its OK. The rears are 275/30/19....a mistake by my shop that I was dealing with because the rears should of been 275/35/19 but again it worked out OK.

I also wanted my rims to be silver & with no rivets at all.To me rivets takes away the looks of the wheel and causes a lot more work when it comes to cleaning time. No chrome for me!

Here are some links where you can browse....Oh yeah these wheels are not cheap...but they were well worth it. Trust me, in person they are amazing & like I said they sure do turn heads & start conversations very quickly.

I am a broker for iforged wheels, so you can shop around and if you like iforged....email me & I can beat anyone's price by several hundred.Of course...the season is on now so the waiting period will be longer...iforged wheels are made custom to your cars specs.Good Luck!http://www.d2autosport.comhttp://www.fo ... forged.com
