The "Best" Christmas present ever for me...I had three. First was in 1977 when I got my Daisy Red Ryder BB gun:Second was when I got wheels...my Murray Baja bicycle...it was the first time I ever saw a full size offroad bike...now it would be called a mountain bike:This was the only photo I could find online, but mine had a black seat and no red walls.

Last but not least, in 1987 I got a fully restored 1972 VW Super Beetle. It was the first metallic color on a Beetle which was light blue, had rally wheels and even a working rear defroster. Only 72,000 miles on it. This is just a pic I found online for reference, I'll find some pics of my car and load them, cause it was gorgeous:

Front and rear Nismo strut tower bars for my CA. My ex sure knew how to use her credit card well.

But as a kid, I got a boom box and a bunch of CDs for my 13th bday/Xmas (I was born on Xmas). Nirvana Bleach, Green Day Dookie and Beethoven made for a great day!

Sorry to say this, but I hate Nirvana. Basically, they killed hard rock & metal.

it was coming anyway, there were many bands coming up at the time, nirvana was the one that broke through first. mudhoney, soundgarden, stone temple pilots, pearl jam...i could really go on forever on this one. great time for music, i miss it.

hard rock actually commited suicide in the 90's. You had the same sound for well over a decade and nothing new was hitting the scene. Bands like Poison, Motley Crue etc. were at the end of their rope. Thats why when "Smell Like Teen Spirit" came out it just fuching blew up the scene!. It was something new and different. But the real talent that came out of the grunge era was Pearl Jam. then we had to sit through the whole rock rap scene which gave us crap like kid rock and limp bizkit. by the way I just downloaded this song by Unearth its called " My will be done" good track to be listening while driving

Got some pics. This was a x-mas gift from my dad when I was young. It's in mint condition and fully functional.

X-mas gift from my wife back in 1999. It's a limited anniversary version and you can see motor spinning in the back.

My wife got this for me from After X-mas sale at Walmart 3 years ago. I think it was about $30.

Not gifts, but my other collections. One of the most slim walkmans ever produced in history.

This CD player is fully programmerable.

WOW, I agree! I LOVED the football game I had, 2 blockers and the runner on led screen! I played that for so long! I have considered buying one for old times sake but figure it has lost its appeal by now...
