I need your peoples real world experience with purchasing work boots. I have no luck buying good boots that LAST!!!!! the last pair I bought for 80 bucks only lasted me 6 months. before they fell apart WTF!!! these where "wolverine" "made in America ,boots I picked up a shoe store.

I am a fence installer for a living and I wear my boots daily. so im looking for a good quality boot that will last and be comfortable .

Im here in CT so if anyone knows a good brand that they have had experience with can you please give me your input.

Store locations , websites

steal toe isn't really a factor . so any reviews would be great. Maybe I need to start buying more expensive boots but I don't want to spend 150 bucks on boots that wont last more than a year.

thanks

Got them at Sears.
Gotcha. You got d!ck at sears. lol

I've never had any problems with wolverines, but I bought a pair of Roebucks boots also from Sears for super cheap (under $50) and they're still holding up OK. They also happen to have steel toe.

I also have a pair of Rockys that I've owned for 9 years, they look horrible, but still work amazingly. Too bad they cost almost $300...

If you don't mind buying boots every three months then a good alternative to good expensive boots is to just trade out a pair of walmart boots every 3 month. That's what I used to do. If you want bad a** boots go redwing, you'll pay the price but boy are they awesome boots.

L.L. Bean. I thought it was fashion designer BS until my wife bought me a pair. I work outside year round and I couldn't find a pair of winter boots (I wear waterproof sneakers during the summer) that would stay waterproof and keep my feet warm AND make it though a season to save my life until I got those boots. They lasted 4 winters before they finally started to leak. I bought another pair immediately and have had them 2 winters so far, and they show no signs of failing.

They weren't under $100 though, but they have boots for less than that. I'm going to tell you though, that I think if you want a set of GOOD work boots, you need to set your price range higher.

I would suggest two different boots, both I wore while on active duty. The combat boots lasted the longest without a doubt. The soles wore down from flightline use before the boots themselves did. I have one pair that lasted 8 years. You can probably find them cheaper some place else, but here's a link.

The other pair I always wore were hi-tech magnums. They were the lightest, most comfortable boot I have worn to date. They weren't as resilient as the combat boots, but they held up very well.

Both types are just over $100. You may be able to find some Combat boots at a surplus store.
