Injector size is cool, but you need a better type of engine management to control those injectors because that super afc ain't happening for anything better than 550cc.XTCshri2222 wrote:was reading the specs on the Horshams's stage 3 chip, says it won't work on any injector besides a 444cc and z32 maf, i'm useing 720cc an RB20 maf.. would it matter or could i just teqek that with the safc?
The stage 3 chip is designed to optimise the fuelling and ignition for an S13 with the following modifications: Free flow air filter Free flow exhaust Boost controller to achieve 17psi boost pressure Uprated intercooler T28 hybrid turbo Uprated fuel pump 444cc injectors from a GTiR (SR20DET engine) or Skyline (RB26DETT engine) Z32 AFM Super unleaded fuel (>97 RON) The chip removes the fuel cut and, in conjunction with the upgrades above, will allow the engine to produce in excess of 300bhp. The stage 3 chip will only work with 444cc injectors and a Z32 (300ZX) air flow meter (AFM).
what system are you using, i am planing to go mega squirt still, I have a partner shop who can do the megasquirt conversion.float_6969 wrote:You could try and correct for the injectors and MAFS with the SAFC, but I don't think you'd get the full effect of the chip. The size of injector you're using will support A LOT of HP. I'm using 555cc injectors and I'm sorely oversized. I don't have too much problem with my idle, but I'm using a standalone.
I think that you would be VERY well off to define a goal for yourself and then do what is require to reach that goal.
Buying parts because they're cheap and not what you want/need won't get you anywhere but poor....
